LOGISTICS ADMINISTRATOR/OPERATOR
(Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm, with some flexibility required)

Main Duties:
The main function of this role is to work as part of a small transport and warehouse team to support an expanding transport and warehouse business.
– To liaise with customers by telephone and email to ensure a high level of customer service is maintained.
– Receiving/processing of orders and transport planning/administration.
– To keep both manual and electronic records for the company in line with administration procedures.
– Comply with health and safety regulations.
– Ability to prepare, analyse and interpret data.
– Understanding of customer systems and stock (Training given)
– To be able to cover driving during peak periods and demands of the business.
– Provide daily operational support and assist the warehouse operations.
– Proactive approach and interest in developing themselves and the business.

The main responsibility of this role is to ensure that only the highest quality products are passed through to next process or dispatch
– Inspection of fabric and accessories
– Fault logging using computerised system
– Mending basic weaving faults
– Burling if required
– General housekeeping of work area
This is a full time role working with a small team within our QC department, therefore teamwork is essential.
Attention to detail is critical.

APPRENTICE WEAVING ANCILLARY
(Mon-Thurs 7.30am-4pm & Fri 7.30am-3pm)

To work as part of a team providing an efficient service within the weaving department with the purpose of maximising weaving capacity whilst maintaining high quality and industry prestige. The Apprentice must also complete and achieve an Intermediate/Advance Textile Apprenticeship qualification.
Main Duties:
– Understand job tickets
– Operate a knotting machine including; Combing of warps and gears
– Operate a warping machine
– Operate a drawing machine
– Learn to tie and knot by hand
– Operate the salvage bobbing maker
– Shaft dismantling
– Undertake gear changes
– Operate a weaving loom including; Picking end up when broken, Finding weft when broken and tying, Taking pieces off loom, Safe and correct method of loom cleaning
– Undertake role of Overlooker including; Understand loom card and design and putting into practice on the loom, Understanding of weft warp, shades and sizes, Correct matching of quality to original specification, Safe and correct method of loom maintenance
– Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
